Bill Bazzi Expresses Gratitude Upon Appointment as U.S. Ambassador to Tunisia

Bill Bazzi, recently appointed U.S. Ambassador to Tunisia, has expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the opportunity to serve in this important role, following his nomination by President Donald Trump.

“Today, I am honored and appreciate President Donald Trump’s appointment to serve as U.S. Ambassador to Tunisia,” Bazzi stated. “Among the distinct countries I have visited over the years, I hold a great affinity to Tunisia and its honorable parliament members—along with the people I met while touring orphanages, women’s career institutions, schools, and a multitude of companies which distinguish the country’s rising presence in the region.”
Although he has not yet visited Tunisia in his official capacity, Bazzi emphasized his eagerness to engage with the country and its leaders. He noted the significance of the connections forged through past visits and the exchanges with Tunisian parliament members during their visits to the U.S.
“My purpose is to continue serving in capacities which make an impact, promote peace and diplomatic partnerships, which benefit our Country and enhance global relations,” he added.
As Bill Bazzi prepares for his tenure, he looks forward to fostering international relations and advancing mutual interests between the United States and Tunisia. His appointment is seen as a significant step in strengthening the diplomatic ties between the two nations.
